Bachelor of Arts Degrees/Colorado Community College Transfer
The following BA degree majors and concentrations can be completed at Mesa State College in 60 remaining semester credit hours when the community college AA/AS general education core, as instituted under the Guaranteed Transfer Pathways program, has been completed and degree awarded. To accomplish this, the student must 1) complete any required courses at the community college, 2) follow the planned course sequence layout for each semester, 3) meet all degree major-specific requirements and all Mesa State graduation requirements, including GPA. Details of these requirements are found in the degree-specific transfer guide and on the student’s degree/program sheet. Students need to work closely with their advisors throughout the process.

Community College Required and/or Recommended Courses: Required courses are to be taken at the community college as part of the 60 credit hours toward an AA/AS degree and serve as pre-requisites for upper division courses. Recommended courses will further help to prepare the student for the final 60 credit hours of the degree. Students at community colleges that offer Physical Education courses may also want to check with an advisor regarding acceptable courses for fulfillment of Mesa State Human Performance and Wellness graduation requirement. BA students who take foreign language courses at the community college need to check with an advisor regarding possible fulfillment of the BA Degree Distinction requirement.
