Bohannan Named RMAC Offensive Player of the Week

MSC sophomore wide receiver, Drew Bohannan (5-10, 170, Phoenix, AZ) was selected Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his outstanding performance in the Mavericks home opener Saturday night.

Bohannan, a transfer from Scottsdale CC, had a memorable outing in his first game as a Maverick. He recorded seven receptions for 212 yards and three touchdowns. Bohannan hooked up with quarterback, Sean McGraw (Meeker, CO), for the first score of the game on a 35-yard reception in the Mavs first possession. In the third quarter he was on the receiving end of a 80-yard touchdown pass to pull the team to within eight points (13-21). With a 1:37 remaining in the third, McGraw found Bohannan for a 32-yard touchdown reception (20-28).

MSC had six different receivers with at least one catch in the Mavericks loss to Western Washington, 49-20. McGraw completed 13 passes for 228 yards.

MSC will travel to Arcata, Calif. this Saturday for a game with Humboldt State University. Kickoff is set for 7 PM MST.
