Mavs Drop Road Games at Adams State in OT, CSU-Pueblo

Mesa State men's basketball team lost in overtime at Adams State College Friday night 82-73. Adams State tied the game on two free throw with 1:29 in regulation to send the game in to overtime. The Grizzlies out scored the Mavs 16-7 for their tenth consecutive home victory.

MSC's Kurt Bangle led the way for the Mavs with 21 points and Justin Ashbaugh recorded a double-double scoring 15 points and pulling down a team high 10 rebounds. Ryan Mathews added 10 points, including three from beyond the arc.

CSU-Pueblo defeated MSC 61-54 Saturday night shooting 60 percent from the floor in the second half, including six second half treys.

Ashbaugh and Bangle finished with 17 points each and Bangle's six rebounds was a team high. MSC was 2-of-13 from the arc and was out rebounded by the T-Wolves 32-22.

MSC will travel to New Mexico Highlands Friday night and at Western New Mexico on Saturday.
