Coy, Ryan Kadavy Named Offense / Defense RMAC Player of the Week

Sophomore
Bobby Coy (Littleton, CO) and junior Ryan Kadavy (Greeley,
CO) were named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference/Rawlings Offense
and Defense Players of the Week respectively.
Coy
rushed for a game high and season high 247 yards on 30 carries Saturday
afternoon at
Western State College in Gunnison, CO. Coy rushed for two
touchdowns in the game helping the Mavs to a 30-27 victory.
With
Mesa State trailing 23-27 with 7:12 remaining, Coy rushed
for 65 yards in the final drive and carried the ball five of the
seven plays to set up the go ahead touchdown. Coy's long
run of the day was 44 yards.
Coy
has rushed for over 100 yards in four of his last five games. He
leads the team with six touchdowns.
Ryan
Kadavy recorded a game high 15 tackles against the Mountaineers,
including a game
high eight solo tackles. Kadavy also added seven assisted tackles
and 2.5 tackles for a loss of seven yards.
Kadavy
notched double digit tackles for the first time this season. Ryan
leads the team with 48 tackles and 24 solo tackles.
MSC
is 7-0 overall and 4-0 in league action. The Mavericks are tied
for first place in the RMAC with Chadron State College (7-0, 4-0).
MSC
will host Adams State College this Saturday at Stocker Stadium.
Kickoff is set for Noon.
