Jared Keating Earns D2football.com
Special Teams Player of the Week Honors

Junior Jared Keating (Cody, Wyoming) was named Special Teams Player of the Week by d2football.com for his outstanding play this past weekend in the Mavericks 41-14 victory over Dixie State College.

Keating hit 4-of-5 field goals, three of which were 40+ yards out (32, 44, 47, 49) helping the Mavericks open the 2007 campaign on a winning note. Keating scored 15 of the Mavs 41 points, scoring a field goal in each quarter.

Keating shares the d2football.com honors with Michigan Tech quarterback Steve Short (Offensive Player of the Week) and Tank Tunstalle a linebacker from Concord (Defensive Player of the Week).

MSC will host Humboldt State Saturday, 7 PM at Stocker Stadium.
