Mavericks Beat Regis in Double Overtime 3-2
(Extend Unbeaten Streak to Seven)

Jake Jobe scored the game winning goal 1:31 in to the second overtime period Sunday afternoon for the Mavericks 3-2 win over visiting Regis University. It was Jobe's second goal of the year and second in two days. Jobe scored his first goal of his collegiate career Friday against Metro State. The Mavs tied the Roadrunners 1-1 in Friday's game.

Sunday afternoon the Regis Rangers took a 2-0 lead in the first 18 minutes of the game. MSC cut the lead in half on Eric Anderson's 8th goal of the year off an assist from Ben Potter (20:07).

Trailing 1-2 to start the second period MSC tied the game on Anderson's unassisted goal (off goalkeeper deflection) at the 68:10 mark.

In the first scoreless overtime period MSC recorded 3 shots to the Rangers 2. MSC sealed the victory just minutes in to the second OT when Jobe found the back off the net and the Mavs fifth victory of the season.

MSC is 5-5-3 overall and 4-4-2 in league play. The loss dropped the Rangers to 7-6-1 overall and 5-4-1 in RMAC play.

MSC goalkeeper Josh Tinaglia played the entire game recording 8 saves on the day.

MSC is on a 7-game unbeaten streak, posting 5 wins and 2 ties.

MSC will travel to Colorado Christian and Colorado Mines for games this Friday and Sunday respectively.
