DAVEN BOND - Daven was
a two-time RMAC all-conference selection in 1985 and 1986...He
is the fourth all time in field goals made (586), fifth in scoring
(1502), fifth in free throws made (272) and ninth in rebounds
(401)...Daven had eight years of professional baseball experience...He
is the owner of The Yard Baseball and Softball Academy in Englewood,
Colorado.
JAY JEFFERSON - Jay is being recognized for
his coaching and administrative 30-year career at Mesa State...He
was Athletic Director for 12 years (1980-1992) and also served
as Director of Housing and Director of the College Center during
his MSC career...Jay served at President of the RMAC Athletic
Directors (1985), President NAIA Region VII (1986) and NAIA Administrator
of the Year (1988-1999)...He is retired and enjoys fishing, hunting
and spending time with his grandchildren.
JILL TEETERS - During her college basketball
career (1989-1992) she was a four-time RMAC all-conference selection,
three-time all-district performer and had her number retired in
1992...She holds the career record for assists (469), assists
in a season (171), steals (249) and is sixth all-time in scoring
(1275)...She started 116 straight games (school record)...She
received the Outstanding Student Athlete Award in 1992...Jill
participates in numerous community service activities and holds
an executive position for a local bank.
LEWIS (LEW RON) THOMPSON - Lew Ron entered
Mesa in 1960 where he continued his outstanding basketball career,
having excelled at Carbondale High School where he was a four-time
all-conference selection. At Mesa he averaged 21.5 points and
15.2 rebounds per game. He set a new Mesa College single game
scoring record with 36 points in an overtime game, and repeating
the feat two weeks later. Lew Ron now works at the River Valley
Ranch as an amenities supervisor in Carbondale, Colorado.
