Maggie Cole Named RMAC Golfer of the Week

Senior Maggie Cole (Aztec, N.M.) was named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week following her first place finish and the Mavericks team title at the Thunderwolf Invitational.

Cole won individual honors and led from start to finish at the CSU-Pueblo Thunderwolf Invitational. She led after day one with a low round score of 78. In the second round she shot an 81 to record a 160 on the Walking Stick Golf Course.

Cole leads the Mavericks with an average score of 81.20. She has played in two tournaments this spring with a first and second place finish. Of the seven tournaments played this academic year, Cole has finished in the top five four times and the top ten in six of the seven tournaments.

MSC won the team title be 22 strokes over second place Fort Hays State.

MSC will host the Maverick Spring Invitational this Monday and Tuesday at The Golf Club at Redlands Mesa.
