Drop RMAC Road Games at Regis, #12 Metro

Regis
University (2-3-0, 1-0-0) handed MSC women's soccer team their first
loss of the season Friday afternoon in the opening game of RMAC
action for both teams. MSC's leading scorer Christian Pauley
tied the game in the first half on an unassisted goal at the 28:09
mark. Regis' Carter Cornett scored to give the Rangers a 1-0 lead
at 17:51. Cornett broke the tie on the game winning goal with just
under 10 minutes remaining in regulation (80:18) on an assist by
Erin Bevacqua.
Regis
out shot MSC 14-7 and had 5 corner kicks to MSC's 3. Pauley
and teammate Kira Brannan had two shots each. Freshman goalkeeper
Madeline Gray recorded 3 saves.
Sunday
afternoon at #12 ranked Metro State the Mavericks fell 2-0, surrendering
a goal in each half to the Roadrunners. Metro's goal in the first
half at the 16:55 mark came on a free kick following a yellow card.
Metro secured the victory late in the game (82:28) on a goal by
Becca Mays.
MSC
recorded 6 shots in the game and the Roadrunners, 8. Each team had
2 corner kicks. MSC goalkeepers Madeline Gray and Kelsey
Woodson each gave up a goal. Gray started and played
the first half, recording 1 save.
The
Mavericks will host Colorado Mines and Colorado Christian this Friday
(4 PM) and Sunday (1:30 PM) at home.
