Dumas Wins 200 meter, Hafey Wins 800 meter at Mountaineer Open
(Dumas Places Second in the 100 meter)

State's track and field team traveled to Gunnison for the Mountaineer
Open hosted by Western State College.
Senior
Stephanie Dumas won the 200-meter dash in a time of 25.77,
taking home top honors for the Mavericks. Dumas placed second
in the 100 meter in 12.83 seconds. In her best meet to date, Dumas
finished the day with a first place, two second place finishes and
a third place finish. She ran the anchor leg in the 4x100 and the
second leg in the 1600 sprint medley.
Teammate
Ashlee Hafey won the 800 meter run in a time of 2:22.90 for
the victory. Mesa State's 1600 sprint medley relay team finished
second.
MSC
will travel to Mesa, Arizona for the Mesa Classic hosted by Mesa
Community College.
