Open Indoor Season at Adams State's Winter Warm-up

Mesa
State women's track and field team opened their 2007-2008 indoor
season at the Adams State College Winter Warm-up in Alamosa Sunday
afternoon. The meet hosted by the Grizzlies included Western State
College and MSC.
MSC's
Samantha Towne won the 800-meter run in a time of 2:32.65. Towne
finished ahead of teammates Jessica Smith (2:42.66) and Tasha
Thompson (2:49.49).
In
the 600 meter run Ashlee Hafey placed fourth with a time
of 1:43.94. Adams State's Jessica Adams placed first crossing the
finish line in 1:42.10. Teammates Andrea Ager, Brianna
Hammer and Natalie Corbet finished eighth, 11th and 14th
respectively.
Ashley
Trombetta placed fifth in the 400 meter dash in 1:05.43. Danielle
Rose finished eighth in the 60 meter dash in 8:20.
MSC
will travel back to Alamosa this Saturday for the Adams State Early
Bird Open.
