Extend Streak to Five, Beat Adams State, CSU-Pueblo on the Road

State women's basketball team improved to 11-10 overall and 9-4
in league play with weekend road victories at Adams State and CSU-Pueblo.
MSC defeated Adams State in overtime 90-85 and followed that up
with a win at CSU-Pueblo Saturday night, 81-67.
Kelsie
Gourdin scored a career high 32 points against Adams State hitting
13-of-19 shots from the floor and a perfect 6-for-6 from the foul
line. MSC had three players score in double digits, Abby Hancock
finished with 19 points and Brittany Fowler added 18 points.
Adams
State tied the game at 75 with 12 seconds remaining in regulation
to force overtime. MSC out scored the Grizzlies 15-10 in the extra
period, nine of the 15 points from Gourdin.
Saturday
night MSC's 81-67 victory over CSU-Pueblo was their fifth consecutive
win and eighth in their last nine games. MSC held a 41-27 half-time
advantage and never trailed in the game.
Gourdin
and Fowler led all players with 21 points each and the two
combined for 12 rebounds and six assists. Cassie Hutto finished
with a game high 10 rebounds.
MSC
will travel to New Mexico Highlands and Western New Mexico before
returning home for a four game homestand.
