Mavs Earn RMAC Victory over Colorado Mines 60-49
(Hancock Scores 14 off the Bench)

Mesa State women improved to 4-9 overall and 2-3 in RMAC action earning their first road victory of the season in a 60-49 win at Colorado School of Mines.

Four Mavericks scored in double figures led by Brittany Fowler's game high 17 points. Fowler was 4-of-9 from the arc and hit 5-of-7 from the foul line. Abby Hancock had a career high 14 points off the bench (8-10 FT) and pulled down six rebounds. Kelsie Gourdin pitched in with 11 points, six rebounds and four assists. Lindsey Kame registered 10 points.

MSC out-rebounded the Orediggers 45-30 with Stephanie Delgado and Cassie Hutto combining for 17 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and three steals.

Mesa led 27-26 at intermission and went on a 9-0 run to start the second half for a 36-26 lead. MSC never trailed in the second half while the Orediggers threatened several times pulling to within one point at the 7:51 mark. Hancock answered with a lay-up and hit 1-of-2 free throws the next offensive series after being fouled.

The Mavericks return home to Brownson Arena Friday and Saturday night to host UC-Colorado Springs and Regis University respectively. Both games are set to tip-off at 6 PM.
