Admission Requirements
Admission applicants for the MBA program must:
- Submit an application with a $50 application fee to Mesa State College, Department of Business, Attn: Jane Sandoval, 1100 North Ave., Grand Junction, CO 81501
- Possess an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university.
- GPA of 3.0 or better from the most recent 60 credit hours of course work earned toward a bachelors degree and a GPA of 3.0 or better for prior graduate work. Official transcripts sent to the Department of Business, Attn: Jane Sandoval.
- Completed Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and the official scores sent to the Department of Business, Attn: Jane Sandoval. Previous GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) or MAT (Millers Analogies Test) will be considered as an alternative to the GRE. Contact the Testing Center at 970.248.1260 to set-up an appointment.
- Two admission recommendations submitted to the Department of Business, Attn: Jane Sandoval.
- 2500 word essay demonstrating your writing and common knowledge of business current events with a minimum of three references using the APA formal style. Submit a hard copy to the Department of Business, Attn: Jane Sandoval and an electronic copy to jsandova@mesastate.edu.
- Program Prerequisites:
- ACCT 201 Financial Accounting
- CISB 101 Business Information Technology
- FINA 301 Managerial Finance
- MANG 201 Principles of Management
- MARK 231 Principles of Marketing
- STAT 200 Probability and Statistics
- Attend an interview, if required, with members of the Graduate Admission Council.
