Are
you interested in nature? Do you want to help save the rainforests,
research cures for diseases or want to see a panda bear in the wild?
If your answer to any of these questions was a "Yes!"
then you should consider a career in the biological sciences. Biologists
find themselves qualified for numerous interesting jobs. As a biologist
you may find yourself studying viral epidemics, discovering new
species or involved in political campaigns to preserve endangered
habitats. Biologists truly can make a difference in the world.
Students at Mesa can pursue programs of study in organismal biology,
cell and molecular biology, or ecology and evolutionary biology.
Any individual student's program can be tailored to prepare them
for application to medical, dental, veterinary and other professional
schools. We offer students research experience in both laboratory
and field settings. Students can work closely with faculty on projects
that range from virology and molecular biology to tropical ecology.
