The new classroom building, completed Summer 2008, was constructed north of the Fine Arts building on the corner of College Place and Elm Avenue. It is a general classroom building open to all majors, and also house the offices for the business department.
According to President Tim Foster, the new classroom building is as energy efficient as possible. It has a solar panel on the roof of the building, and Excel Energy is partnering with Mesa State College to explore all potential energy-saving possibilities. These classrooms have a Geothermal heating and cooling system.
