Freshman Year Programs

Through the Office of Freshman Programs Mesa State College facilitates the positive transition from high school to college for all freshmen. In addition, the Office of Freshman Programs strives to help all freshmen make a connection to Mesa State College. Through this successful transition and connection to Mesa State College new students will do better academically and ultimately graduate from the college. Presently this mission is accomplished through two different programs, the FYI Program and the PASS program.

Freshman Year Initiative (FYI)
The FYI program is open to all MSC freshmen. The FYI program is a 2-credit version of MSC’s college success course, Introduction to Higher Education, offered the week before school begins.

Freshman Seminar Schedule
The Office of Freshman Programs is pleased to offer a broad range of topics designed to help new students adjust to college life. In order to provide an opportunity for as many students as possible to take advantage of these programs they will be offered twice during the week when ever possible.

!!WIN PRIZES!!
Every time you attend a program your name will be entered in a drawing for prizes.
