I'm an Out-of-State Freshmen
Entering Fall 2008
|
As an out-of-state Freshmen, we strongly
encourage you to attend one of the many Orientation programs
we have planned.
Why should you attend? On average, students who attend a Student
Orientation program earn higher GPA's, have higher retention rates,
and graduate sooner than those who do not attend an Orientation.
This is because students who attend an Orientation know where to
turn for help whenever the need arises. The programs are designed
to get you the most out of your time at Mesa State College. During
your Orientation, you will have the opportunity to:
- Meet with an academic advisor
- Register for first semester classes
- Learn how to use our online system
- Attend informative sessions
- Learn about getting involved in campus activities
- Get your student ID card (MAVcard)
- Take a campus tour, and more
If you choose not to attend an Orientation
program, please contact the Mesa State Advising Office at 970.248.1177
for assistance.
