Available to AICPA members, full-time undergraduate or graduate
students with a minimum 3.0 who

The Alexander Foundation
This program provides financial assistance for educational needs
to gay or lesbian students, as well as those students who come from
gay or lesbian families. Applications are available at the Financial
Aid Office.

American Association of University Women (AAUW Education Foundation)
Fellowships, grants and awards with fall application deadlines are
available for women scholars.

American Chemical Society Scholars Program
Applicant must be either African American, Hispanic/Latino, or American
Indian; US Citizen; full-time student with a GPA of 3.0 or better;
and be able to demonstrate evidence of financial need according
to the FAFSA form. Applicant must also be majoring in chemistry,
biochemistry, chemical engineering or a chemically-related science
and planning a career in the chemical sciences or chemical technology.

Applicant must be a verifiable American Indian; a Colorado resident

Byrd, Robert C. Scholarship
Available to graduating high school students enrolled in a minimum

Available to full-time students who are Colorado residents, enrolled

Colorado Business and Professional Women's Foundation, Inc.
Scholarship
Available to women who have resided in Colorado for 12 consecutive
months immediately preceding application and who are U.S. citizens
to attend an educational institution of higher learning or vocational
training located and accredited in Colorado. Applicants must demonstrate
financial need, scholastic ability, leadership skills, and career
goals and be a non-traditional age, preferable 25 years or older.

Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants Education Foundation
Awards
$1,000 scholarships are available to accounting majors with a minimum
GPA of 3.0. Applications are accepted twice yearly, for the fall
and spring semester. Deadlines are June 30 for fall and November

County Sheriffs Of Colorado Scholarship
Available to any permanent resident of a Colorado county participating
in th eHonorary Membership Program of County Sheriffs of Colorado
(this excludes residents from Pitkin county) and enrolled in, or
applying to , a vocational training program or institution of higher
learning in the state of Colorado as a full or part-time student
is eligible. Students must have a minimum 2.0 GPA.

Cox, James M. Jr. Foundation Scholarship
Available to residents of the Western Slope, Colorado with a minimum
GPA of 3.0 to help prepare students for a newspaper career. Preference
will be given to college Sophomore or Juniors with a declared major
in Journalism, Advertising or Mass Communications. Special consideration
will be given to Mesa State College students. The awards are valued

Delta Kappa Gamma Society International Alpha Mu Chapter
$1000 scholarship available to female students who wish to enter

Daughters of the American Revolution DAR Scholarship
Scholarships are available to students who are U.S. citizens attending
an accredited college or university in the United States. All applicants

Department of Homeland Security Scholarship and Fellowship Program
Applicant must be a U. S. citizen and have a cumulative GPA of 3.3
or higher. Applicant must be majoring in the physical sciences,
mathematical sciences, computer and information sciences, life sciences,
social sciences, psychology, selected humanities, or engineering.
Applicant must be in second year of college if they have been attending
full-time. If applicant has been attending part-time, they must
have completed a minimum of 45 but no more than 60 semester hours.
Recipients must complete a 10-week, continuous, off-campus research
internship at a DHS-designated facility during the summer between
your first and second year appointment.

Denver Mortar Board Alumni (GRADUATE STUDENT)
Applicant must be a graduate of an accredited college or university

Applicant must attend a Colorado school and demonstrate a financial

The Foundation of the National Student Nurses' Association
Eligibility criteria includes current enrollment and matriculation
in the nursing program leading to an associate or baccalaureate
degree, or enrolled in an RN to BSN, RN to MSN, or LPN/LVN to RN
program; pre-nursing students taking courses to prepare for matriculation
into a nursing program; taking no less than 6 credit hours per semester;
involvement in student nursing organizations and/or community health

John Gyles Education Awards
Available to students in both Canada and the United States. Awards
are available to both male and female students for all areas of
post secondary study. A minimum GPA of 2.7 is required. Criteria
other than strictly academic ability and financial need are considered
in the selection process.

Scholarships are available to son's or daughter's of a Marine on

Pinnacol Foundation
Available to the natural, adopted or step-child of, or fully dependent
on, a worker killed or permanently injured in a compensable work-related
accident or by a compensable occupational disease during the course
and scope of employment with a Colorado-based employer. The parent,
or deceased parent's family, must have been entitled to receive
benefits under the Colorado Worker's Compensation Act. Student must
be between the ages of 16 and 25 at the time of the application,
have a high school diploma, GED or be a high school senior in good
standing. The student must demonstrate financial need. The academic
achievement, aptitude and community service of the applicant is
considered.

Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic Associates Collegiate Cycling Scholarship
Available to a full-time Mesa State College student that is also
a member of the Mesas State Cycling Team and holds a current USA
Cycling racing license.

Rotary Scholarships for Study Abroad
The Grand Junction Downtown Rotary Club is actively soliciting applicants
for Rotary Foundation Scholarships being awarded this summer for
study abroad in 2005-2006 and for 2007.
Ambassadorial Scholarships are for one academic year abroad and
provide funding for round-trip transportation, tuition and fees,
room and board, up to a maximum of $25,000.
Cultural Ambassadorial Scholarships provide funding for three months
of intensive language study and cultural immersion in another country
up to a maximum of $13,000.
Rotary World Peace Scholarship provides 70 scholarships worldwide,
specifically for two-year masters degree programs in academic
pursuits relating to peace initiatives. These scholarships provide
study abroad in more than 160 countries where Rotary clubs are located.

The program offers $1,500 scholarships to qualified full-time and

Elie Wiesel Prize in Ethics Essay Contest
This contest is designed to challenge college students to analyze
the urgent ethical issues confronting them in today's complex world.
