REGIONAL EDUCATION PROVIDER
In
June 2003, Mesa State College was designated a "Regional Education
Provider" by the Colorado Commission on Higher Education. As
a Regional Education Provider Mesa State College is responsible
for assessing educational needs and delivering programming to meet
them. The region of the state assigned to Mesa State is shown on
the map in red. The faculty and staff of Mesa State College embrace
and support this role for the College, and we are pleased to work
together with the region's citizens and other educational institutions
to meet the educational needs of our region.
Our region includes the following counties: Delta, Eagle, Garfield,
Grand, Jackson, Mesa, Moffat, Montrose, Ouray, Pitkin, Rio Blanco,
Routt, San Miguel, and Summit.
We take this role seriously and are committed to provide the leadership
in meeting the needs of the region. In our role as regional education
provider Mesa State will: 1) assess the educational needs of the
region; 2) provide the necessary education itself; 3) partner with
other educational organizations to deliver the requested instruction;
or 4) request the program from another institution when Mesa State
does not offer the requested educational offering.
Other Colorado institutions receiving this designation include
Adams State College in Alamosa, Fort Lewis College in Durango, and
Western State College in Gunnison.
Our commitment to the people of our region is to meet your educational
needs to the best of our ability. We seek to balance the College's
resources against the educational needs of our students and constituents.
Please let us know how we can serve you best: fill
out our survey or email
us with your suggestions and educational aspirations. We'll
do our best to make it possible.
