ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
POSITION: Assistant Professor - Art Education/Arts Management/Studio
Art
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching 12 hours or more per semester
in Art Education - Elementary and Secondary, Fibers, Arts Management
- Senior Seminar and Exhibitions and Management, and Two-Dimensional
Design. Other responsibilities include advising students, supervising
candidates for field hours and student teaching internships, and
committee work,
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: M.A. in Art Education
and an M.F.A. in Studio Art by August 2008. Must display an enthusiasm
for teaching, possess excellent communication skills, and show a
willingness to work in a collaborative learning environment. Documented
experience in Arts Management. College teaching experience required
beyond Teaching Assistant.
TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time tenure-track appointment
beginning August 2008.
SALARY: $38,000/year. Excellent health and retirement benefits
package.
