ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
Associate Director of Information Systems
RESPONSIBILITIES: Reports to the Executive Director for Information
and Communication Technology. Responsibilities include, but are
not limited to, planning, coordinating, and supervising all activities
related to the installation, implementation, integration, support,
upgrading, and report generation for all information systems, including
Banner and Oracle DBMS software. Reviews and analyzes existing applications'
effectiveness and develops strategies for improving and leveraging
systems. Researches and makes recommendations on software products
and services in support of procurement and development efforts.
Coordinates report generation requirements with end users. Coordinates
development of server hardware, network, and software application
requirements with the Associate Director of Computing and Network
Systems. Formulates and regularly tests a Disaster Recovery Plan
for all information systems. Assists with input and justification
for the Information Systems budget. Supervises the operations of
the Mesa State IT Help Desk providing end user support for the college's
hardware and software systems.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Requires an earned bachelor's
degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university
in an appropriate computer related field, and five years related
experience and/or training in information systems with at least
three of those years in a supervisory role, or equivalent combination
of education and experience. Requires advanced skills in project
management, and systems and business analysis. Requires experience
in report generation tools. Experience in an academic environment
is desirable.
TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time administrative appointment.
SALARY: Salary commensurate with education and experience.
