ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
EMS Instructor

RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has ongoing responsibility for EMT-Paramedic curriculum development, planning, and teaching, and guiding, monitoring and evaluating student performance both in the classroom and in assigned clinical areas.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Must possess at least an Associates degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Five (5) or more years experience in EMS or Emergency Department Clinical care providing advanced life support with at least some of this experience on an active pre-hospital service
  • Colorado Recognized EMS -Instructor/Coordinator; National Certification preferred
  • Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) Instructor Certification preferred
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor; Course Director Credentials preferred
  • Either Pediatric Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergencies for Pre-Hospital Providers (PEPP) instructor credentials; Course Director Credentials preferred
  • Either International Trauma Life Support or Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support Instructor Certification.

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time, non-tenure track appointment

SALARY: $40,000 per year. Excellent health and retirement benefits package.
