9) Thanksgiving Day
10) Christmas Day

Mesa State College will observe the following Official Alternate Holiday
Schedule for Fiscal Year 2007/2008.


Independence Day - Wednesday, July 4, 2007
Thanksgiving Day - Thursday, November 22, 2007
Labor Day - Friday, November 23, 2007
Christmas Day - Tuesday, December 25, 2007
Columbus Day - Wednesday, December 26, 2007
Veterans' Day - Thursday, December 27, 2007
Dr. M. Luther King Day - Friday, December 28, 2007
Washington-Lincoln Day - Monday, December 31, 2007
New Year's Day - Tuesday, January 1, 2008
Memorial Day - Monday, May 26, 2008


For leave and compensation purposes these alternate holidays are the official holidays and not the statutory holidays. For example, if you work September 3, 2007 (Statutory Holiday - Labor Day), you have not earned holiday pay or leave, but if you work November 23, 2007 (Official Alternate Holiday - Labor Day), you have either earned holiday pay or will be granted holiday leave. Mesa State College will apply the leave and compensation for all administrators, Deans and Classified Staff based on the Official Alternate Holidays.
