ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
Senior Research Analyst
(Deadline Extended)
RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop routine and ad hoc reports from
System and external data sources, using statistical software packages
such as SPSS or SAS, SQL, and BI tools. Write summaries of results,
technical documentation, and report specifications.
Support research on higher education issues in areas related to
students, faculty, financial aid, and curriculum. Monitor and maintain
on-line information and reports.
Participate in the change review process for application systems,
including but not limited to, tracking data issues and business
processes in the data sources (e.g., database intervention or change
scripts, pending changes, etc.). Respond to and track requests for
research, analysis, and information. Work with all departments to
ensure data integrity, reviewing current data reporting and programming
procedures in cooperation with the director of institutional research
and assessment to ensure accuracy of reports, and developing training
and help sessions as necessary. Working in conjunction with other
offices and campus staff, perform tests of application systems'
changes related to reporting data and statistical analysis.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Earned Bachelor's degree (Master's
preferred) from an accredited four-year college or university is
required (emphasis in Computer Science, Social Science, Computer
Information Systems, Statistics or closely related field is preferred).
Experience with SQL Server or Oracle is required (Oracle and SCT
Banner preferred). Knowledge of research methodology and experience
with SPSS or SAS programming is required. Must have a minimum of
three years of related work experience.
TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time, administrative position.
