Mesa State College operates under the State Office of Risk Management
for Colorado. The State office manages damage or injury claims
brought against the State and its employees through a self-insured
liability program, with settlements and expenses paid from the
Risk Management fund. The State is self-insured for worker's compensation
with claim adjustment services provided by a third party administrator.
Any accident claims or other insurance claims are resolved by
the State Office: an information intake is completed at the Purchasing office and all completed state forms
are forwarded to the Office of Risk Management.
