Howell, Rex Memorial Fund Scholarship

Criteria: Mesa State College full time Junior or Senior enrolled in a major within the Fine and Performing Arts Department or the Languages, Literature and Communications Department with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and having financial need. Preference given to an applicant who has demonstrated a history of self effort in financing college.
Value: Up to tuition and student fees (in-state amount, maximum of 12 credit hours per semester), plus $250 book allowance each semester

McCallister, Matt Memorial Scholarship

Criteria: Mesa State College full time Junior or Senior majoring in Mass Communications with financial need who has been a broadcasting student for at least one year and has a minimum GPA of 3.5. Applicants must write a 400-word essay on why he/she is the best person to receive the award. The recipient must be active in promoting college media.
Value: $500 or as determined by funds available

Criteria: Mesa State College Fine and Performing Arts major or Natural Sciences and Mathematics major. Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be enrolled full-time (12 credit hours per semester). Not available to incoming freshmen.
Value: In-state tuition and fees, for a maximum of 12 credit hours per semester

Criteria: Mesa State College Sophomore, Junior or Senior majoring in English and demonstrating seriousness of purpose and a desire for excellence in the study of English with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in English courses and a minimum overall GPA of 2.5. Financial need will be considered.
