American Association of University Women (AAUW), Mary Rait/Mary Jewell Willsea Grant

Criteria: Mesa State College full time non-traditional female students returning to college to earn a baccalaureate degree after some years of absence from the academic scene. Applicants must have completed 60 hours of credits by the end of the current Spring term.

American Business Women Association (ABWA), Grand Junction Charter Chapter Scholarship

Administered by the Mesa State College Foundation
Criteria: Mesa State College full time female Juniors or Seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Must be a resident of Mesa County, Colorado. The recipients will be required to prepare and present a five-minute speech at the April meeting of the ABWA and must attend three meetings throughout the year.

Archuleta, S.J. Scholarship

Criteria: Mesa State College full time foreign student with a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Boettcher Opportunity Award

Administered by the Mesa State College Foundation
Criteria: Mesa State College full-time senior, Colorado resident, ethnic minority student with a minimum GPA of 3.0 generally accepted as "academic".

Brownson Memorial Leadership Scholarship - Minority

Administered by the Mesa State College Foundation
Criteria: Mesa State College full-time student student with a minimum 2.5 GPA and is an ethnic minority.

Clifton Lions Club Scholarship

Application available in MSC Bookstore or at the Financial Aid Office

Criteria:  Available to a Mesa State College full-time junior of senior or graduate student who has been a Mesa County resident for a least the immediate past two years.  Student must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and must be a US citizen.

Value: $400 bookstore credit

Daniels, Harold E. Memorial Athletic Scholarship

Criteria: Mesa State College full-time student, enrolled in any major, with a 3.0 GPA. Student shall participate in one of the following MSC intercollegiate men's or women's sports: Softball, Swimming, Volleyball, Basketball, or Soccer.

Administered by the Mesa State College Foundation
Criteria: Mesa State College full time student with a principle address within the FirstBank service area of Colorado Springs to Ft. Collins; Aurora to Evergreen; or Vail, Avon, Breckenridge, Silverthorne and Greeley. Preference given to low to moderate income applicants (based on information contained in the FAFSA form).

Grand Junction New Car and Truck Dealer's Association

Criteria: Mesa State Student who is a family member or employee of a member of the Grand Junction New Car and Truck Dealers Association. Recipient must be a full-time student of Mesa State College and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Grand Junction Rotary Scholarship

Administered by the Mesa State College Foundation
Criteria: Mesa State College part time or full time student with financial need because of a special circumstance (major changes, i.e.: death in family, divorce, disadvantaged, or facing adversity) with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Can be international student or U.S. citizen.
Value: $1,000 but not to exceed tuition and student fees if awarded to a part time student*

Grand Valley Scholarship

Criteria: Available to Mesa State College part-time students who are 25+ years of age and residents of Delta, Eagle, Garfield, Grand, Jackson, Mesa, Moffit, Montrose, Ouray, Pitkin, Rio Blanco, Routt, Summit or San Miguel County. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and have two letters of recommendation.

Ron Halsey Memorial Scholarship for Disabled Students

Administered by the Mesa State College Foundation
Criteria: Available to a Mesa State College full-time disabled student. with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA .Must have a physical disability with preference to students with an accident related paralysis, multiple sclerosis or severe vision or hearing impairment.
Value: Based on funds available.

Howard, Bryan. (Associated Student Government) Scholarship


Criteria: Full-time Mesa State College Student with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Student shall be involved in community service and/or civic involvement. Students serving on the selection committee or students in paid leadership position on campus are not eligible to apply.

Jouflas, Chris and Connie Family Foundation Scholarship

Administered by the Mesa State College Foundation
Criteria: Available to a Mesa State College student of Eastern Orthodox Christian religion. The recipient must have and maintain a minimum 2.5 institutional, cumulative GPA and may attend full or part-time.
Value: Determined by funds available.

Junior Service League Scholarship

Administered by the Mesa State Foundation
Criteria: Mesa State college full-time, female student seeking a baccalaureate degree. Must be at least 18 and a sophomore or higher and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Student must be a Mesa County resident and show documented financial need.
Value: $500*

Khumalo, Rachel Book Scholarship

Criteria:  Available to a full-time sophomore, junior or senior Mesa State College student with a minimum 2.5 GPA.  Student must have documented financial need.

Lathrop Scholarship

Criteria: Mesa State College full time students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 whose families make their living in farming or ranching. Preference will be given to students actively involved in agricultural activities and to those enrolling in coursework supporting an agricultural career choice. Recipients must have graduated from a Western Slope, Colorado high school.
Value: In-state tuition and fees for up to four years, maximum 12 credit hours per semester

Criteria: Mesa State College full time student who is a U.S. citizen of Asian descent (Amerasian) with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Preference given to a student of Japanese heritage. International students can be considered if no U.S. citizen applies. Any area of study except Theatre.

Scott, Howard E. "Maverick" Scholarship

Criteria: Are you a "Maverick", willing to rock the boat, ask pointed questions or take unpopular positions to sustain your convictions? "Maverick" here does not mean an athlete on a Mesa team. It means someone willing to take an independent stand against popular opinion, and willing to defend offered alternatives. If you are this kind of boat rocker, this scholarship was endowed for you. Send along your experiences and actions which define you as an operative "Maverick". If you do not meet this stringent criterion, please do not apply.

Student Leadership and Service Recognition Award

Administered by the Mesa State College Foundation
Criteria: Mesa State College full time student with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and has earned at least 24 credit hours of two consecutive semesters at Mesa State College. Eligible applicants must document having Mesa State College campus living experience, or contracted campus dining experience, or have worked for Sodexho-Marriott dining services. Applicants will be considered on a basis of demonstrated leadership experience in the hospitality industry.
