Mesa State College Foundation

The Mesa State College Foundation is the official
nonprofit organization for Mesa State College, linking the community
to the College. It receives and records gifts, then transfers
funds to Mesa State for use according to the donor's wishes and
the College's needs. The mission of the Foundation is to strengthen
educational opportunities at Mesa State College through the distribution
of all gift assets. The Foundation acts as the depository for
all charitable gifts and acts in a fiduciary capacity as exclusive
agent for donor activity.
The Mesa State College Foundation is governed
by a board of community volunteers. The directors recognize the
importance of a quality education, and give their individual and
collective time as well as talent and expertise to ensure the
success of the Foundation. These dedicated, successful business
and community leaders have established an infrastructure of reliability
and credibility on which donors can be assured that their gifts
are invested soundly, managed wisely, and used only for those
purposes specifically designated.
The Foundation enhances the educational opportunities
available at Mesa State in a variety of ways. The Foundation's
administration of scholarships is essential to the College's goal
of offering high-quality education at an affordable cost. Unrestricted
gifts to the Foundation provide academic support for a variety
of campus-wide needs, such as faculty development and research,
departmental and program support, and honoraria for guest lectures.
As the College continues to increase in enrollment, the physical
capacity of the campus has been stretched to its limits. Support
for capital projects has provided funds necessary for land acquisition
to expand our current facilities and funds necessary to upgrade
and equip existing and new facilities.
