Mesa State PRIDE Club to Recognize World AIDS
Day
Grand Junction, CO - Mesa State College's People Recognizing the
Importance of Diversity and Equality Club will hold a candle light
vigil in recognition of World Aids Day on Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. on the
south side of Houston Hall on the main campus.
PRIDE is also marking World Aids Day with a flag display on the
southwest corner of North and 12th Streets in Grand Junction. Each
of the 700 flags represent 100,000 people who are either currently
infected or have already died from AIDS.
To ensure that the people of western Colorado are aware of the
AIDS crisis, PRIDE has also coordinated with the Western Colorado
AIDS Project to offer free testing on Dec. 1.
For more information, contact the PRIDE Club at 970.248.1174.
