Music at Mesa Presents: The Faculty Gala Concert
A benefit concert for the Guest Artist Recital Series featuring
the MSC Music Faculty
A benefit concert for the Guest Artist Recital Series Music at
Mesa will present the music faculty in concert during the Faculty
Gala Concert, a benefit concert for the Guest Artist Series, on
Friday, September 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Moss
Performing Arts Center.
The Guest Artist Recital Series is a yearly concert series in which
five nationally and internationally renowned artists are invited
to perform for the Grand Valley community. During their stay in
Grand Junction, these artists also instruct Mesa State music students
on a variety of topics designed to enrich the students' education
and musical abilities.
All of the full-time music faculty, as well as a number of the
adjunct and part-time faculty, will participate in this event. including
pianist Michael Baron, violinist Carlos Elías, tenor Jack
Delmore and cellist Tyme Mientka. They will perform the works of
Mozart, Smetana, Vivaldi, Rachmaninoff, Britten, Hovanes, and Miki.
A catered gala will follow the performance. Individual tickets,
which are $8/adults, $5/seniors and $3/students, are available in
advance or at the door. Season tickets are also available for a
deep discount. The box office opens 45 minutes before each performance
