Patrick Doyle to Serve as Vice President for
Finance
Grand Junction, CO - Mesa State College has hired Patrick
Doyle to serve as its vice president for finance.
"Patrick will bring over 20 years of solid higher education
experience to Mesa State College," said Tim Foster, Mesa State
College President. "This, in addition to his working knowledge
of accounting, business and finance, will be an asset to the College,
particularly in this era of tight budgets."
Doyle, who was selected from a field of more than 65 applicants,
anticipates starting at the college on August 16. As vice president
for finance, he will oversee all phases of Mesa State's business
activity, including the controller, budget office, information technology,
human resources, purchasing and facilities. Doyle will also serve
as a member of the president's cabinet and as a financial advisor.
His experience includes nine years working as the vice president
for business and finance and the treasurer of the board of regents
at Eastern Michigan University. Prior to these positions, he also
served Eastern Michigan University in the capacities of assistant
vice president for business and finance, assistant to the previous
vice president for business and finance, assistant controller, general
supervisor of student accounting and accountant.
"I was initially interested in Mesa State College because
of the quality of the institution and its exciting new leadership,"
said Doyle. "Now, having had the opportunity to visit the campus
and meet its exceptional staff and faculty, I can honestly say that
I'm looking forward to working at an institution where I can add
value and be valued - a winning combination."
Doyle holds a Bachelors of Science degree in accounting from the
University of Detroit and a Masters of Arts degree in communications
from Eastern Michigan University.
