Johnson Art Gallery to Host Sixth Annual Graphic
Design Exhibit
Grand Junction, CO-The Mesa State College Art Department will present
the sixth annual student graphic design exhibit, "Wow, Looky
There!" from March 7-25 in the W.W. Campbell College Center's
Johnson Art Gallery.
Organized by associate professors of art Suzie Garner and Carolyn
Quinn-Hensley, this year's exhibit is an overview of junior and
senior graphic design student work. It will include classroom assignments
and printed material from student internships, as well as campus
publications created by the students who work in the Campus Design
Studio.
Each of the student works are unique and represent hours of hard
work on and off the computer. The exhibit will feature illustrations,
corporate identity projects, posters, magazine cover designs and
more. With a variety of graphic design work on display, the exhibit
presents a unique opportunity for prospective graphic design students
to view what current Mesa State students are creating.
A public reception will be held on March 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. in
the Johnson Art Gallery. Students will be on hand to meet with community
members and discuss their works.
The Johnson Art Gallery is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to
4 p.m., and admission is free. The Gallery will be closed March
14-18 for Spring Break. For more information, contact the Mesa State
College Art Department at 970.248.1833.
