Banff Mountain Film Festival's "Radical
Reels" Tour Coming to Mesa State College
Grand Junction, Colo. - The Mesa State College Outdoor Program
and outdoor retailer REI have teamed up to bring the world famous
Banff Mountain Film Festival's "Radical Reels" tour to
Grand Junction on March 29 at 7 p.m. in the Moss Performing Arts
Center Recital Hall.
"There's no better film tour for the mountain enthusiast,"
said Chad Thatcher, Mesa State College's Outdoor Program Coordinator.
"'Radical Reels' features kayaking, climbing, mountain culture
and more in a series of ten films that range from three minutes
to 30 minutes in length."
This will be the first time that the Banff Mountain Film Festival
tour has visited Grand Junction. For the past 29 years, the Banff
Mountain Film Festival has celebrated the spirit of adventure and
the mountain environment. Each November, more than 300 films from
30 countries draw an international audience to Banff, Alberta, Canada.
The year's best films are then taken on tour throughout North America
and the world.
Tickets for "Radical Reels" are $12 and available at
REI, located at North Avenue and 7th Street. Proceeds will benefit
the Mesa State College Outdoor Program.
