Mesa State College Psi Chi Chapter Inducts New
Members, Receives Prestigious Award
Grand Junction, CO -The Mesa State College chapter of Psi Chi,
a national psychology honor society, is pleased to announce that
the following students were inducted on Jan. 28. These individuals
represent the highest in academic achievement, as well as service
to their school and community:

Psi Chi members are chosen through an application process. To be
eligible for induction into the Mesa State College chapter, students
must finish in the top 35 percent of their general studies and have
completed a minimum of nine credit hours of psychology courses with
a GPA of 3.0 or higher to be inducted.
In addition to inducting the 19 new members, the Mesa State College
Psi Chi chapter was also notified on Jan. 18 that it had been selected
for the Psi Chi regional chapter award for institutions with a campus
population of more than 5000 students. This award is extremely competitive
within the Rocky Mountain Region and includes a $500 prize.
