RECYCLED PERCUSSION TO BRING "JUNK ROCK" TO MESA STATE
Friday, March 25
7 p.m.
Saunders Fieldhouse, Mesa State College
$5 with MAVCard, $8 without MAVCard
Currently on its "Total Beat Down" tour, Recycled Percussion
will bring its "junk rock" music to Mesa State College's
Saunders Fieldhouse on Friday, March 25 at 7 p.m.
The group combines percussion, bass guitar and chest-thumping music
with DJ beats. Justin Spencer is the front man for the four-member
group, whose musical style grew from his love of drumming. Their
first performance was a high school talent show and they have since
developed a high-energy show that is completely original and uniquely
appealing.
Recycled Percussion has performed for more than 500,000 students
at college campuses around the country. Voted "Best Major Performing
Group" by college students in 2003 and 2004, Recycled Percussion
tours ten months out of the year. Their tour schedule has taken
them all over North America and they were recently featured on NBC's
"Today" show, the NBA playoff games and other major broadcast
programs.
Tickets are $5 for those with a Mesa State MAVCard, and $8 without
the MAVCard. Tickets can be purchased from the Mesa State College
bookstore. For more information, visit www.rprocks.com or contact
Elizabeth
Larsen, Campbell College Center program coordinator, at 970.248.1148.
