So, you're interested in taking courses at Mesa State College. The first thing you need to do is determine which student type you are; this will ensure that you complete the necessary application process.

There are two different student types: 1) Degree Seeking and 2) Non-Degree Seeking. Below you will find details about each student type and the information on how you can apply for admission.
*Note: Students who have previously attended Mesa State only need to submit a returning student application, and official transcripts from any other colleges attended after leaving MSC.

1) Degree Seeking - For students seeking a Certificate, Associate, Baccalaureate, or Master's degree from MSC. To apply for admission as a degree seeking student you must submit the following:

- A completed MSC Application for Undergraduate Admission
- $30 non-refundable application processing fee.
- Official high school transcripts, GED or homeschool evaluation form or portfolio. If you're transferring from another college you must submit official transcripts from every previous college you've attended.
- ACT or SAT test results, unless you: are under the age of 23, have completed more than 30 credit hours at another college, or are applying for a certificate program.
- Letters of recommendation and personal essay (optional).
To view more details about the admissions process take a look at the general information page located on the Admissions homepage.

2) Non-Degree Seeking - For students who do not wish to pursue a degree or certificate at Mesa State College, students may apply as non-degree seeking rather than being formally admitted to the College. To apply as a non-degree seeking student you must submit the following:

- A completed MSC Application for Undergraduate Admission, indicating you are a "non-degree seeking" student in the classification section.
- $30.00 non-refundable application processing fee.
Please note:
