BANNER
Introduction:
Banner is the main administrative software system used at Mesa State
College. It is comprised of several modules with multiple functions.
The Student module contains all student records such as applications,
grades, advising, schedules, course catalogs, etc. The Finance module
is used for accounts payable, accounts receivable and budgeting.
The Human Resource module provides payroll and contract information
for employees and student employees. The Financial Aid module is
comprised of a complete set of tools to award and track all forms
of student financial aid. There are also web interfaces for students,
faculty and employees that allow direct access to certain functions
over the Internet using a standard web browser.
Finance Module:
Administrators, deans, directors, department chairs and all those
with budget responsibility need to have a working knowledge of this
module. The separate Crystal Reports program provides standard accounting
reports for income and expenses, but offers no detailed information.
The Finance Module offers many forms for tracking purchase orders,
vendors, encumbrances, payments and general ledger transactions.
A basic understanding will provide more control over present budgets,
planning for future budgets and avoiding NSF (Not Sufficient Funds)
holds on accounts.
Maverick On-Line:
This is the main Banner web interface for students and faculty and
staff. The following sections are available from the Mesa State
College web site at Maverick On-Line:

course catalog, financial aid information, student records and registration
status.
" Employee Information- paystubs, W-2, W-4 and personal contract
information on file with Human Resources
" Faculty Information- student grades, registration overrides,
class lists, etc.
