Production
Services
Audio and Video
Duplication
Requests for
these services should be made in person with the desired materials,
at Media Services. Please allow a minimum of 48 hours for completion
of materials. Large, or complex projects may take longer. Media
Services will not be responsible for items left longer than 30 days
past the completion date unless previously arranged. Blank tapes
for audio/video duplication must be provided by the requesting party.
Copyrighted materials will not be duplicated without the appropriate
authorization.
Lamination
Lamination
is provided for documents up to 18" x 24". There is a
chargeback for materials.
Photography/Slides
Requests for
these services should be made in person to Media Services. Media
Services will assist in planning and doing the shooting, but processing
and developing will be done by an outside vendor, arranged by the
requestor. Please allow enough lead time for this work. Media Services
does have the capability to shoot slides from computer media.
Teleconference/Satellite
Downlink
Requests should
be made to Media Services . The individuals/departments responsible
for the downlink are responsible for obtaining the proper documentation
to show and record the programs and paying any costs incurred. Currently,
we can videotape satellite downlinks or distribute them to Library
122 and Library 133.. If you wish to reserve Library 122 or Library
133 to view a downlink it must be arranged with the Library Administrative
Assistant, 248-1406.
Video Production
The Media Services
staff will assist faculty and staff in the production of instructional/educational
videotapes and DVDs. Media Services will provide script to end product
support or assist in any phase of your production including editing,
producing graphics, etc. Requests for video production support should
be made directly to the Head of Media Services. Arrangements will
be made individually for each project and are dependent on resource
availability.
Computer Multimedia
Media Services
provides the facilities and equipment for computer-based multimedia
support including the production of classroom support materials,
interactive programs, presentation graphics and computer based training.
Faculty and staff may use the equipment directly to create materials
and presentations or Media Services will assist in creating materials.
Flatbed scanning, slide scanning, digital photography, CD-ROM recording/duplication,
and large format printing are among the services available.
Instructional
Design
Media Services
will provide assistance in instructional design and development
of classroom support materials. Requests for this service should
be made to the Head of Media Services
Costs
Media Services
provides services free of charge to Mesa State College personnel
and departments that are in support of resident instruction programs,
with the exception of materials replacement costs for consumed materials
such as lamination materials.
Other uses of Media Services for purposes other than those above,
will result in an appropriate charge. A document detailing these
charges is available on request.
