The first thing to do when your dial-up connection is not working is to verify that your password works in one of the computer labs on campus. If not, go to the computer lab in the Tomlinson Library to have it reset. Bring a Maverick Card or driver's license.

Internet Access for Mesa State Students

All students at Mesa State College have an Internet account which allows them to access the World Wide Web. The procedure for connecting to your Internet account varies depending on where you are and what type of computer you are using.

Ethernet - Dormitories and Campus Apartments

  • First, obtain your network username and password.
  • Connect the computer to the wall jack in your room.
  • Open Internet Explorer and follow the instructions on the screen.

Trouble? Go to the front desk of your dormitory and ask to sign up for a time when the assistant is available. If you live in the Walnut Ridge apartments, go to the apartment for the R.A. who is on duty, and the sign up sheet will be on their door.

Wireless

Wireless access is available on the second and third floors of the Tomlinson Library as well as the Bookcliff Cafe. Click here for instructions. Most of the campus will be available soon. . Handheld devices are not yet supported.
