What is an H Drive?

The H Drive is space reserved on one of the Mesa State Servers where professors can make files available for students.

Instructions (on campus)

To download or view files on the H Drive while logged into a computer on campus,

  • Click Start / My Computer.
  • Double click on the H Drive. Then a window showing many files will appear.
  • Double click on the "Download" folder. A window showing many more folders will appear. Each professor who uses the H Drive has a folder here.
  • Locate the folder named for your professor and double click on it. The names of the folders probably will begin with the first initial of the professor. For example, the folder belonging to Allan Wallace will be named awallace. The folders are in alphabetical order.
  • The next window that opens will show the folders and files that the professor has made available.
  • Browse the professor's files and folders until locating the one, or ones, you need. Double click on a file to open it.
