Business and Professional Studies Programs

AA Business Administration
Not sure what area you are interested in? An Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration will get you started. This degree satisfies the requirements for an entry-level job in many offices, and then can be transferred to any four-year degree we offer, so you can increase your job potential.

AA Business Computer Information Systems
This two-year degree will give you basic working knowledge of the Computer Information Systems area. You can obtain an entry-level position in, for example, Mesa County government with this degree and it also can be transferred to a four-year degree.

AAS Radiologic Technology
The radiologic science program trains the student to take x-rays. This health care profession is currently very much in demand and the job market is abundant.

BA Human Performance & Wellness - Adapted Physical Education

This concentration is designed to prepare students to work with disabled individuals within:
School systems, medical facilities, rehabilitation centers, and vocational settings .

BA Human Performance & Wellness - Athletic Training

BA Human Performance & Wellness - Corporate Fitness
Students will be prepared to enter the "commercial" and "business" aspects of the fitness industry. Primary concentration course work will include specialized training in developing and prescribing fitness and wellness programs. Typical positions include: Program consultants,
cardiac rehabilitation ASCM certificate, corporate fitness directors, and fitness program management.

BA Human Performance & Wellness - Exercise Science
This concentration is designed to accommodate those students with a strong interest in the sciences and application of these sciences to human function. Employment in: Cardiac rehabilitation, stress testing, exercise prescription and consultation, and preparation for physical therapy school. The Exercise Science Program will be of special interest to those students anticipating graduate work and ACSM Certification.

BA Human Performance & Wellness With Teaching (K-12)
Students will become prepared to teach elementary, middle/junior high school, and high school physical education. Note: These students must also be enrolled in the teacher licensure program at Mesa State College.

BBA Business Economics
Have you ever wondered why the economy does what it does? Have you ever wanted to be a Business Forecaster or Commodity Industry Forecaster? A degree in Business Economics will give you the knowledge.

BBA Finance
If you have always wanted to be a Chief Financial Officer, a Financial Planner, an Industrial Broker or Investment Counselor, a degree in Finance will pave the way.

BBA Management
A degree in Management will provide a good background for owning your own business, whether it be retail, hotel, industry or financial institutions.

BBA Marketing
We all see advertising on television, in magazines and hear it on the radio. If this area is interesting to you, these plus many more, including Television Shopping Channel Coordinator, are available to you when you receive a degree in Marketing.

BBA Travel, Tourism & Commercial Recreation Management
Does the world of travel appeal to you? This degree will give you the knowledge to be a travel agent, tourism director, or lead the way to other travel related industry.

BS Accounting - Governmental, Not-for-Profit
With this degree you can work for governmental agencies, nonprofit organizations, and service companies.

BS Accounting - Information Technology
This degree combines the aspects of Accounting with the Computer Information area.

BS Accounting-Managerial
Would you like to work as an accountant in a large business, this degree can lead you there. Other areas are Management Consultant, Estate Planner or Treasury Management Specialist.

BS Accounting/MBA
In this program you will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Masters in Business Administration. The program was designed to meet the five (5) year educational C.P.A. requirement of any state and to prepare you for the business consulting phase of accounting.

BS Accounting-Public
With this degree you can become a Certified Public Accountant in Colorado and work as a C.P.A. Trust Accountant, Internal Auditor, or IRS Invesigator , F.B.I., to name a few.

BS Computer Information Systems
Our Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems will lead the way to such careers as analyst/programmer, information systems manager, software support technician, LAN manager and many more.

BSN Nursing
The nursing program offers coursework enabling the successful student to become a registered nurse. This profession is currently in very high demand nationwide.

MBA Conditional

The Mesa State College MBA is a challenging program designed to prepare graduates for the changing business world. The program deepens an undergraduate understanding of business to the graduate level.
