Powderhorn ski resort (1,600 feet vertical, 220 inches annual
snowfall) is located 35 miles from campus and offers season
passes at a discount to students in addition to instructional
ski courses offered in conjunction with the Human Performance
and Wellness department.

Colorado National Monument
Within minutes from campus you can visit Grand Junction's
own Grand Canyon, the Colorado National Monument. The Colorado
National Monument is 23,000 acres of rock formations, arches,
windows, canyons and exposed layers of earth.
