The Science Lab building is centrally located on the campus.
Completed in 1996, this building is home to Natural Sciences
and Mathematics. State-of-the-art laboratories and research
areas are found inside.
The picture on the left is an open air courtyard inside
the Science Lab building. At the top, you can also see a
greenhouse used for numerous plants, many from the investigative
trips to Central America by the Mesa State-based Western
Colorado Center for Tropical Research. That's not the only
research opportunity for undergraduate students at Mesa
State. Mesa scientists are leading the way with research
into hantavirus, wine grapes, whirling disease, mine remediation,
seismology, and molecular genetics.
