General Information

PROGRAMS
The primary focus of the Montrose Campus, a branch campus of Mesa State College, is to serve the higher education needs of residents of Montrose, Delta, Ouray, and San Miguel counties. The Montrose Campus supports a vareity of associate degree programs. Students completing an associate degree can immediately enter the workforce, or use the degree as a springboard into a bachelors program. Examples of associate degrees available at the Montrose Campus include Nursing, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, and Social Science.

Additional opportuntites exist for students to pursue bachelor degree tracks in Elementary Education licensure, and Business. Students pursuing a bachelor degree in Nursing may complete their pre-nursing requirements at the Montrose Campus. Students who are unsure of their degree goal may begin their degree through the completion of their guaranteed transfer general education courses.

Mesa State College-Montrose Campus also creates and delivers specialized programs to meet needs unique to specific industries and businesses. Examples of these programs include training in management practices, and information technology networking.

Students attending the Montrose campus can expect small class sizes, and courses available in both the afternoon and evening.

Partnered with year-round recreation including camping, fishing, hiking, mountain-biking, golf, and easy access to two world class ski resorts (Telluride and Crested Butte), Montrose has something for everyone.
