Motel

A block of rooms has been reserved at La Quinta Inn for the conference. Rooms are $52 per night plus tax and include buffet breakfast and shuttle to/from airport and conference site on Mesa State College campus. (The present tax rate is 10.65%. At the present rate, tax per night will be $5.54, raising the nightly room price to $57.54.)

The block of rooms will be held through September 30. When registering, specify “Mesa State College Mountain Plains Conference” to obtain the conference rate. Reservations can be made directly with the local La Quinta Inn (970-241-2929) or through the reservation line (800-531-5900). The conference La Quinta Inn is located at 2761 Crossroad Blvd, Grand Junction, CO 81506, near Walker Field airport and just northwest of Exit 31 from Interstate 70.

Getting to Grand Junction

Grand Junction is served by Delta, United, Frontier and America West Air Lines. Shuttle between the airport and the motel is provided by the motel. Mesa State College is approximately 2 ½ miles southwest of Walker Field airport.

Grand Junction is approximately 250 miles from Salt Lake City or Denver. Mesa State College is located approximately two miles southwest of the Airport/Horizon Drive Exit 31 off Interstate 70.

Shuttle service between the hotel and Mesa State College campus will be available to those without their own transportation. Campus parking permits will be available for those with their own transportation.
