What is Interlibrary Loan (ILL)?
Interlibrary Loan provides you with
library materials not available locally. Before placing an ILL request
for articles, please check MSC holdings:
Journal Finder. Before placing an ILL request for books
or other library materials, please check these resources: Mesa
State Library Catalog, Mesa
County Public Library, and Prospector.
What material may I request?
Tomlinson Library will attempt to fill all requests. Be aware that some material is difficult to obtain, including dissertations, genealogy, reference, and rare material.
How do I place an Interlibrary Loan request?
Place requests by completing and submitting online ILL Request forms. Click below:
A request should be submitted only after checking that the material
is not available locally.
How do I pick up my material?
When your material arrives, you will receive email notification with information about the delivery method. If the item is to be delivered electronically, the e-mail will give detailed instructions on pick-up procedure. Items not delivered electronically may be picked up at the Circulation Desk by showing your Mesa State College MAVCard anytime the library is open.
Is there a charge for Interlibrary Loan?
Most Interlibrary Loan requests are available free through Tomlinson Library's network of reciprocal suppliers. If no free supplier exists, the library pays fees incurred by faculty requests.
How long can I keep an Interlibrary Loan
book?
The lending library sets the due date. If you need to request a
renewal, do so before the due date. Stop by L110A, call 248-1844,
or e-mail ill@mesastate.edu
to request a renewal.
What if I lose my Interlibrary Loan book?
The lending library determines the charges
for a lost or damaged book. You are responsible for all lost or
damage charges.
How does the copyright law apply to Interlibrary

must acknowledge awareness of the copyright warning.
