Subject Liaison Librarians
What we do...
Specialized Research and Course Support
Liaison Librarians assist faculty with identifying and
accessing material related to their research and teaching. We can
help with research related to faculty publications, presentations,
and professional development as well as grant seeking and the development
of course assignments. We are happy to make office visits to demonstrate
online resources, including citation indexes, ILL and Prospector,
the Periodical Locator, and how to use Table of Contents and Search
Profile alerts for journal articles in a particular field.
Collection Development
The Tomlinson Library collection is developed to support
the curriculum of Mesa State College. Collection development decisions
are a joint venture between the librarians and faculty of the college.
Liaison librarians are assigned as specialists to maintain a balanced,
timely and accessible collection in accordance with the Collection
Development Policy.
