Welcome to the Mesa State College Student Orientation Program!

Since you have met with your advisor, it is now time to register for your classes!

College Opportunity Fund

Colorado residents are encouraged to sign up for the College Opportunity Fund (COF) if you haven't already. This can reduce the amount you have to pay for tuition and fees by using your state benefit.

Login to Maverick On-line

  • Go to www.mesastate.edu
  • Choose Student Login at the bottom of the page
  • Then Register for Classes.
  • Enter Student ID Number (700……)
  • Enter Pin. Initially your PIN will be our birth date, MMDDYY.
  • Click login
  • The “Login Verification Change PIN” page requires you to change your PIN number to a more secure choice. Enter your birth date in the top line and a new 6-digit pin in the next two lines. Click login.
  • The “Login Verification Security Question and Answer” page will require you to enter a security question of your choice with a short answer. The next time you log in the “Forgot Pin” button would take you to this question. Click Submit.
  • Please read the “Terms of Usage” and click Submit.

Register for Courses

  • Click on Student Services & Financial Aid
  • Click on Registration
  • Click on Add/Drop Courses
  • Select the Registration Term and Submit
  • If Registration Holds appear, the holds must be cleared before registration will be permitted.
  • Enter the CRNs (Course Reference Numbers) in the Add Courses Worksheet.
  • Click on Submit Changes
  • Colorado Residents who are registering for the first time will have a College Opportunity (COF) Stipend Authorization page. This page lists the courses that are COF eligible. Choose “authorize” to have the state pay the tuition voucher which reduces the amount you have to pay for tuition and fees. Click on Submit.
  • The next page will tell you which class (es) you successfully enrolled in the “Current Schedule” section. If Registration Errors appear, you can try to add a different section of the same class, add a different class, waitlist for the class if available, or follow the instructions on the top of the page to purse registering for the same class. Please raise your hand for assistance.

Print your Schedule

  • Click on “Return to Menu” at the top of the page
  • Click on “Student Schedule by Day & Time” and print
  • Go back to “Return to Menu” at the top of the page
  • Click on “Student Detailed Schedule” and print
  • Be sure to double check the “Student Detailed Schedule” to verify dates since some courses are first or second mod courses and that all courses are offered at a location that works for you. Classes with MONT, BA, BB, BC for building locations are located at our branch campus locations.
Turn in your advising worksheet to the staff members and Exit out of your login by clicking the “Exit” button located at the top of the page.
Please save your printed schedule. You are officially registered for the classes that appear on your schedule. By your act of registration, you confirm your attendance and incur a financial obligation to the College.
