Education
Admission
to student teaching
- Pass the PLACE EXAM or the PRAXIS
II EXAM. See advising
handbook for details.
- Possess a portfolio which documents the attainment
of the Colorado standards.

- Know CPR and First Aid.
- Minimum overall GPA of a 2.8.
- Minimum overall GPA of a 2.8 in all
education courses.
- Must have completed at least 200 hours
of field experience.
- Must have completed all courses required
for graduation, except
EDUC 499.
- Excellent academics, documented abilities
(portfolio, teacher work sample), and appropriate dispositions.
To become recommended
for licensure
- Minimum of B in student teaching.
- Must complete portfolio that provides evidence
of fulfillment of Colorado standards.
- Must be recommended by The Center for Teacher
Education at Mesa State.
